Description
So vivid is the expression on this figure's face that we cannot help but think of him as human, with genuine emotions and personality. He seems in the midst of recounting a gripping story, perhaps the tale of his exploits in battle, or of his descent into the unknown reaches of the underworld. Surely he has seen things the rest of us can only guess at, places of infinite wonder and magic. We are caught up in his web of excitement, drawn into that vanished world. Though we may not speak his language, we are spellbound by his never-ending tale. - (PF.1990)
