Description
This lovely female sculpture represents woman at her most beautiful. The birth of a child or a wish for fertility is wonderfully represented in this figure. Her body, which is hollow, might have once held offerings for the gods or supplies for the deceased into the afterworld. She is a figure, worn with time, which was used by women of the village who hoped to get pregnant. She is a fertility Goddess. The design of her costume, though faint, was once elaborate. Maybe she can still bring good luck to the hopeful. - (PF.2726)
