Description |
A pear shaped Indian waterpipe base made of
steel,
the body decorated with vegetal motifs, inlaid in
silver.
JB.1333. Hukka base, cast steel with silver, so-
called
“ bidri” decoration. The entire vessel was coated
with hot silver and then after cooling the floral
designs were carved out.
India, Bidar, 17th – 18th century.
