Description |
The bust has a large rectangular socket behind,
the maenad emerges from the calyx of a flower
and is wearing a chiton fastened with rosettes at
the shoulders, her expressive face with bow-
shaped mouth and large eyes are inlaid with
silver, crow's feet are at the outer corners, her
engraved centrally parted hair is surmounted by
a wreath of grapevine, a flower rests above the
forehead, the elements of the wreath are
connected by a fragmentary bronze wire.
