Though civilization has made countless advances
in the centuries since Rome ruled the world, the
role and appearance of coinage has changed
little. We immediately recognize this roman
bronze as a monetary unit bearing a message of
power and authority. It bears the noble portrait
of Constantius l, one of the original four
tetrarchs appointed by Diocletian. Those who
first held this coin and purchased with it were
witnesses to history. Whoever holds it today in
its glowing setting of silver and gold is certain to
make a little history on their own.
