Description |
From looking at this rotund little pot with
humanistic features, we feel the gentle sense of
humor of the culture that created it. Perhaps
such a vessel acted like a scarecrow, meant to
frighten birds and rodents away from its
contents. If so, it could not have been
particularly effective. For who would be afraid of
such a sweet and simple personality?
