Mezcala Stone Amulet of a Standing Figure - PF.0752 Origin: Western Mexico Circa: 300
BC
to 300
AD Dimensions:3.75" (9.5cm) high Catalogue: V2 Collection: Pre-Columbian Medium: Stone
This figure, with a hole for stringing at the back
of the neck, was probably meant to preserve
someone from harm. That is always the curious
thing about ancient amulets - since we know
nothing about the fate of the original owner, we
cannot be certain if the spell works.
