Description

This elegant standing figure conveys a remarkably contemporary feel, as if he has been reduced to the bare essentials. He wears a cap and robes of priestly office, and holds his hands in an attitude of prayer. Though we know he only stands in the place of some ancient supplicant, we cannot help but wonder if that person's wishes were granted by the gods. - (FZ.049)
