Description |
ast bronze
The cup-shaped body has a double
wall, the outer one is perforated, a
collar runs around below the rim
which on top is flat and everted; the
vessel stands on a tall baluster-
shaped stem and terminates in a
splayed foot. In the middle bulging
part of the stem there is an
engraved zigzag line connecting the
small perforated holes.
Commentary: there is no immediate
comparative example for this object,
but it’s perforated design and the
shape offers support to the above
suggested provenance and date.
