Description |
Small jug, slip-painted polychrome-on-white
ware.
The ovoid body rest on a low foot-ring, the mouth
opens up and a tall handle is attached. There is a
black painted Kufic inscription which runs around
the body and there are two heavy concentric
bands
below the rim, one of them is painted red, the
other
one in black.
Iran or Central Asia, 10th century.
