The frit body is ob baluster form, with a sloping
shoulder and a straight cylindrical neck, with an
attached strap handle.
This jug is made of composite white fritware. It is
covered in a turquoise blue glaze, which stops
short of the foot-ring. The decoration is painted,
not splashed. Three black lines are painted on
the mouth, body and foot of the jug. The handle
is undulated and is decorated with two dots.
This object is remarkably unique in its colour and
decoration. It is a fine example of “underglaze
painted” vessels.
