The cylinder vessel is one of the most important
vessels found in Pre-Columbian art. The footed
base accentuates its size and importance,
combining with the detailed fresco around the
vessel. The color remains subtle, using pastel
hues while not losing the iconography found
within the artwork, which includes a seated
person surmounted by geometric objects and
patterns. Such beauty cannot be replicated, yet
can be easily admired, bringing us closer to
understanding the past, the history of life that
we are all a part of.
