With his beautifully burnished slip and incised
costume, it is difficult to say whether we are in
the presence of an influential mortal or a god.
Clearly he is aware of his own importance, and
we hesitate to inform him that the world is a
different place from when he first knew it.
Though small, he projects an enormous dignity,
and we would be wise to accord him all the
respect he is used to.
