| Description |
With just a few bold strokes, the artist has
sketched an impression from nature onto the
curved surface of this shell. A coatimundi, a
racoon-like mammal, holds his snout between
his forepaws; a single groove defines where his
tail begins, a quick line or two indicates his hind
legs. The final impression--swift and sleek--is
of a creature glimpsed suddenly as it scurries
through the jungle.
