This incredible stone sculpture envelopes the
viewer in a haunting fascination, marveling at its
past and admiring its beauty. Its distinct shape
suggests a ritualistic item, representing and
important deity within their culture. The
features are carefully, yet crudely incised into the
hard stone, softening the appearance as if it had
become one with the material. With just a few
simple lines, the human face emerges from the
stone, like the soul being breathed into the stone
directly, bringing it to life in front of our eyes.
