Description
The feline's tail is curled above its back, with its mane endings stylized. The alert, upright ears and partially open mouth suggest the lion is about to bounce. Remains of red paint are suggestive of local rituals employed in this regal animal's worship in princely Rajasthan. - (PF.2267)
