JB.1296. Lampstand, cast bronze with engraved
decoration. Made-up of several parts: the polylobed
base is provided with six shallow semicircular basins
and rests on three paw-shaped feet; the sloping
sides carry a pseudo-Kufic inscription and the
basins have small roundels with floral patterns. The
tall shaft is composed of five baluster-shaped
elements, all displaying engraved inscriptions or
vegetal patterns. The wide round tray on top has
low side walls with a serrated top and a slanting rim
which has epigraphic cartouches, interrupted by
small roundels.
