This elegant lamp must once have lit a luxurious room, for only the wealthy could afford lamps made from bronze. Of a classic spouted design, its handle is shaped like a stylized leaf. Down through history, lamps have illuminated the path of mankind, guiding great thoughts through the night and standing vigil with lonely passions. We cannot know where this lamp has been, or who has been warmed by its glow, but it reminds us of man's enduring quest to light the darkness.
