Description
Since the dawn of civilization in the Near East, man has cultivated the date, whose wrinkled shape this charming vessel imitates. In antiquity, the fertile date palm was a symbol of abundance and plenty which appears often in art and on coins. While we cannot be certain what this little flask originally contained, we are aware that a benevolent magic clings to it still. - (GF.0034)
