Like a harlequin in a painting by Picasso, this
fellow combines a cheerfully patterned costume
with a poignant expression. The vivid triangular
designs on his face contrast with his wistful
expression. For all the pleasure we might take in
his bright finery, he seems to be warning us that
no one is free from the occasional melancholy
moment.
