| Description |
Covered with the bold geometric for which the
Casas Grandes culture is famous, this pot is of an
unusually large and splendid size. The patterns
are abstract, yet we see in them a reflection of
the natural world; of birds on the wing, of trees,
rivers, and the wind. We understand this vessel
to be the creation of a people who lived
comfortably within the natural environment.
