This charming terracotta vessel demonstrates the creativity of period, using a variety of forms and designs, yet maintaining the functionality that is required. This bulb shaped vessel, is highlighted by the beautiful white paint that creates a brilliant feel to the entire piece. The animal represented in the front has its arms outstretched towards its mouth as if it is feeding on something. The vessel itself is actually supported by both arms and the tail. The neck of the vessel is decorated in two registers and within these registers is a combination of geometric designs and beautifully fluid details, all accentuating the overall beauty of this original piece. - (PF.4117)
