This beautiful vessel is indeed a very rare and unique piece due to the very interesting uninformed poise. The vessel does not have a supporting base, but sits naturally at a slight angle. The base allows the bowl to be placed anywhere and not purely hand held. The style of decoration is a combination of abstract design and geometric patterns. Within the center of the pattern are zoomorphic designs painted in a wide range of hues. Its colors are polychrome yet remaining within the same earth tones. As a whole, the bowl functions well as a vital part of a ceremony. - (PF.4195)
