Typical earthenware albarello jar of a
cylindrical body on a short narrow
base, sharp projecting shoulder,
cylindrical neck ending in a slightly
everted rim, neatly and tightly
decorated by a motif of alternating
heart-shaped leafs in a vivid blue
and copper brownish lustre. The
shape is widely documented and
most commonly used for the storage
of pharmaceutical substances, such
as medicinal herbs
