Description
This man stands in eternal reverence, proudly erect, wearing a long, belted robe (perhaps that of a priest, or possibly an initiate) with his open-palmed hands at his sides. The artist of this piece has not sought figural realism, but rather to capture the essential character of a worshiper. After all these centuries he still stands lost in prayers to gods the rest of the world has forgotten. - (FZ.057)
