Description
The feline's tail is curled above its back, and its mane endings are stylized. The perky, alert ears and partially open mouth suggest the lion is about to bounce. Remains of red paint are suggestive of local rituals employed in the worship of this regal animal in princely Rajasthan. - (PF.2269)
